Quality Control Technician (Night Shift)

Location: Elland, West Yorkshire
Shifts: 

48 working week (Monday to Thursday 6pm to 6am).

Salary: £11.76 /hour

Decorative Panels Components Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for a QC Technician to join our nights team working from our production site at Lowfields Business Park, Elland.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to the QC Manager.
  • Responsible for the inspection of panels passing through the production process and final check area to ensure they meet specification and quality standards.
  • Ensure panel paperwork is completed correctly throughout processing and ensure operators and completing appropriate documentation.
  • Ensuring defective products are removed, recorded and reported to the QC and production team.
  • To communicate effectively with operators to ensure quality issues are rectified in a timely manner.
  • To assist the Quality Manager with quality audits and any other quality related matters.
  • To identify quality issues and prevent further defective products being produced.
  • To comply with the company quality policy and ISO 90001 standards.
  • To monitor and check measuring equipment to ensure it is calibrated and fit for purpose.
  • To use the company quality package to ensure assigned duties are completed in a timely manner.

Decorative Panels Components Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for a QC Checker to join our weekend team working from our production site at Lowfields Business Park, Elland.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to the QC Manager.
  • Responsible for the inspection of panels passing through the final check area to ensure they meet specification and quality standards.
  • Ensure panel paperwork is completed correctly and placed on finished goods before they are despatched.
  • Ensuring defective products are removed, recorded and reported to the QC and production team.
  • To identify quality issues and prevent further defective products being produced.
  • To comply with the company quality policy and ISO 90001 standards.
  • To assist in the wrapping and banding of finished goods before despatch.

**Mechanically Biased**

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to the Senior Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Working alongside a small team of Maintenance Technicians on shift to complete both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring resources are allocated to priority areas.
  • Assisting with major breakdowns by carrying out root cause analysis.
  • Control of stock, parts identification and ordering.
  • Liaise with production teams to ensure maintenance does not impact on production processes and output.
  • Providing plausible solutions to prevent re-occurrence of machinery issues.
  • Minimise machine downtime.

  • To competently operate Sawing, Edgebanding & Drilling machinery to produce panels that meet specification and quality standards.
  • Ensure panel paperwork is completed correctly throughout processing.
  • To communicate effectively with other operators to ensure production targets are met.
  • To identify quality issues and defects to prevent further defective products being produced.

Due to expansion of the maintenance department, Decorative Panels Furniture Ltd has a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our team based in Thornaby.

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for completing both planned and reactive maintenance along with assisting with major breakdowns by carrying out root cause analysis. The ideal candidate will have a hands on approach to machine maintenance with a problem solving attitude, providing plausible solutions to prevent re-occurrence of machinery issues and minimise machine downtime.

Candidates who apply should be able to demonstrate relevant qualifications in engineering disciplines and be time-served in a manufacturing or production environment. We operate a 4 team rotating shift pattern working 3 days on 3 days off, 3 nights on 3 nights off. Working hours are between 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am, giving an average working week of 42 hours.

We have a mixture of skills and experience within the existing team which will support the development of new skills and assist in the expansion on your current knowledge. So it is essential to have a proactive and problem solving attitude to add to the strength of the existing team.

We are offering an excellent pay rate over an average working week of 42 hours along with an entitlement of 21.5 days of annual holiday. We have an onsite canteen and vending facilities with parking facilities available in the staff car park. Staff also benefit from buying our products at preferential rates.
